Vision

We envision a world where every young person can unleash their unique creativity and thrive in life.

Mission

Our mission is to inspire and transform young lives through music.

As a Gloucestershire-based charity, we deliver directly to young people in our local community, showing how music can shape a place. As a national centre for best practice, we influence and impact the wider creative sector through our awarding body, artist development and industry work, and training, mentoring, and consultancy arm.

We specialise in working with young people in challenging circumstances and those who are under-represented within the creative industries, to help them thrive and reach their full potential in music, learning and in life.

Artistic Vision

We boldly push the boundaries of the conventional, by providing young people with the freedom to create the music they envision. We embrace diverse genres and emerging trends that resonate with the dynamic landscape of the contemporary music industry. Our artistic vision is guided by the voices and vision of young people themselves, empowering them to pursue their ambitions and shape their own future.

We curate high-quality music experiences, dynamic events, and transformative workshops that captivate, challenge and inspire young minds. Our goal is to support young people to imagine a world beyond limitations, to envision new possibilities and shape their own future.

Theory of change

Our approach is grounded in the principles of Autonomy, Competence, and Relatedness, based on the self-determination theory.

Values

Authenticity, inclusivity, youth-led, scalability, and innovation are the core values that guide our work. We believe in being authentic in our approach, honouring the unique voices and experiences of young people and ensuring their lived experience is central to decision-making and delivery. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued and respected. Our work is youth-led, meaning we prioritise the input and vision of young people themselves. We strive for scalability, developing models and programmes that can be replicated and shared with others across the UK. Finally, we embrace innovation, constantly exploring new ideas and approaches that make music accessible and exciting to all young people.
