The Music Works is a Gloucester based charity that transforms young lives through music. In the last six years we have grown from a small charity to a multi-million pound one with over 30 staff with income coming from over 40 different sources.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Head of Finance, ensure the financial workings of the organisation run smoothly and efficiently and to help him work out what financial capacity is needed to deliver our ambitious vision for the future.

Working closely alongside Dave Eastcott, Head of Finance, the role will ensure the needs of a growing organisation are suitably met.

  • Regular review of budgets with project managers to ensure changes in circumstances are accurately reflected in the rolling monthly forecasting
  • Systems support to budget holders to help them understand and make the most of the QuickBooks accounting system
  • Financial assistance with funding applications.
