The Music Works is a Gloucester based charity that transforms young lives through music. In the last six years we have grown from a small charity to a multi-million pound one with over 30 staff with income coming from over 40 different sources.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Head of Finance, ensure the financial workings of the organisation run smoothly and efficiently and to help him work out what financial capacity is needed to deliver our ambitious vision for the future.
Working closely alongside Dave Eastcott, Head of Finance, the role will ensure the needs of a growing organisation are suitably met.
We are looking to recruit against the following criteria:
The salary will be £25K – £28K pro rata for two days a week – dependent on experience. We anticipate the two days a week will be worked flexibly across the week in liaison with the Head of Finance.
Dave Eastcott, Head of Finance, will provide support and be the main point of contact for this role but the role will also work closely with other members of the senior team – Deborah Potts (CEO), Malaki Patterson, Artistic Director, Ben O’Sullivan, Director of Education, Lyndsay Davies (Youth and Community Director) and Jessica Fairclough (Operations Manager).
We are flexible as to where the job is located although we would expect some time to be spent in our Gloucester studio. Home working is fine.
For enquiries about the role, please contact Dave Eastcott (Head of Finance) firstname.lastname@example.org.
Part- time permanent role (2 days per week)
Pay: £25,000-£28,000 (pro rata)
Send your CV and a covering letter (no longer than 2 pages) explaining why you are interested in the role and suitable for this post to email@example.com.
We also ask that you complete an equality form (this is anonymous and is only to help us make sure we are reaching a broad range of people).
There is no specific closing date for this position as candidates will be considered as they apply and the process will end when the position is filled. There will be an initial telephone interview and then if applicable face to face interviews will take place at the Gloucester Hub.
If you would like to discuss the role beforehand, then please email Dave firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a time to talk.
