FREE ENTRY // For ages 11-16
Have a Go is our free school holiday music making programme in collaboration with Gloucestershire County Council’s HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) with the aim of providing those aged 11-16 and in receipt of free school meals access to music-making activities. Lunch is provided daily for all those attending.
Young people will gain experience learning through multiple music activities such as; Singing, Songwriting, Rapping, DJ’ing, Music Production and playing instruments, whilst having fun and making new friends. They will spend time learning how to set up/use equipment as well as creating new music/songs, working as a team and collaborating with other young people. The sessions are suitable for all skill levels (beginner to advanced).

Please note
Have a Go does not provide the same degree of specialist support for young people with additional needs as our other programmes such as Mix & Mash orINCDrop. This programme does not include respite care. If your young person has additional needs, they may need to be accompanied by a parent, carer, or family member, as we cannot assist with medication, personal care, or complex needs during these sessions. For more information or to discuss additional support needs, please contact the programme lead at ifoster@themusicworks.org.uk.
We’re a friendly team and always happy to answer any questions you have.
