Have a go - TheMusicWorks
Have a go making music this Summer in Gloucester and The Forest of Dean!

Have a Go is our FREE school holiday music making programme in collaboration with Gloucestershire County Council’s HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) with the aim of providing those aged 11-16 and in receipt of free school meals access to music-making activities. Lunch is provided daily for all those attending.

What happens at Have a Go?

During Have A Go, young people and children will gain experience learning through multiple music activities such as; singing, song-writing, rapping, DJ’ing, music production and playing instruments, whilst having fun and making new friends. They will spend time learning how to set up and use equipment as well as creating new music , working as a team and collaborating with other young people.

Through these sessions, young people will develop social and musical skills, whilst building on their knowledge and self-confidence. The sessions are suitable for all skill levels (beginner to advanced).

Have a Go Music & Dance

On Wednesday 21st August (in Gloucester only) we will be collaborating with Your Next Move to provide a fun dance workshop in our event space, with an opportunity for young people to create the music that their peers dance to. The session is open to any level (beginner-advanced) for ages 11-16. It’ll be a great opportunity to get creative and let off some steam on the dancefloor before returning to school.
