Upsurge: artist development

Our Upsurge: artist development programme is FREE and open to local emerging artists.

Whether you are a singer, rapper, beatboxer, musician (of any instrument), producer, engineer, poet or spoken word artist, this programme is for you.  We can give you up to three years’ support and development including mentoring, studio time, training, performance opportunities and promotion of your music.

What will you get out of the programme?

• Support with developing your own original music from experienced music leaders in a professional environment
• Access to multiple recording and rehearsal studios
• Crucial business knowledge, tapping into the music industry including learning how to protect your music’s rights
• Support and development opportunities, including signposting and contacts across the music industry to help further your career
• Mentoring from music industry professionals
• Networking & collaboration opportunities with different musicians, artists, engineers, producers from diverse backgrounds across the county

Who is it for?

You must be:

• Aged between 18–30
• Based in Gloucestershire
• Unsigned to a record label (agent and management is fine)
• Passionate about music and progressing in your career
