Every Thursday evening from May through August, Food Docks will be hosting live music from emerging local artists as part of a new weekly series – Sunset Sessions.
At the heart of it all are Upsurge participants – young musicians, creatives, and engineers who are being paid to do what they love, right here in Gloucestershire.
That last part matters more than it might sound. Upsurge is our Creative Careers programme, and it works across three strands – artists, creatives, and engineers. This partnership means young people across all three strands are getting real, paid gigs in their local community.
The series is already underway, with a brilliant lineup of artists taking to the stage at Food Docks throughout the summer including Libby Rollings, Jodie O, Sometimes Eleanor, Muna Mone, Flora Fiora, Chaka, Merce Jade, Trinity, Tan Sholto and more.
