Community Programmes Manager (Forest of Dean)

Part-time role : 22.5 hours a week (There’s potential for this role to be a full-time position if the successful candidate is interested in delivering across our programmes)

£30,000 – £36,000 pro-rata (depending on experience)

Forest of Dean based (Forest Hub, Soundspace, Gloucester Hub)

About the role

As the Community Programmes Manager (Forest of Dean), you will lead the development and delivery of community programmes that engage young people across The Forest Hub, SoundSpace and throughout the Forest of Dean. You will manage programmes and activities within our facilities, coordinate freelance music leaders, develop partnerships with community organisations, and ensure that youth voices are central to programme development.

Reporting to the Director of Community and Place, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality delivery whilst building relationships with key stakeholders and expanding our reach across the district. There’s also potential for this role to grow into a full-time position if the successful candidate is interested in delivering across our programmes.

The Music Works is a Gloucestershire charity that transforms young lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life. We work with over 3,000 young people a year in schools and our four community studios in Gloucester, and the Forest of Dean. Our approach is youth-led, with young people involved at every stage of planning and delivery.
